We provide programs, events, resources, and enrichment opportunities that help every Hawk learn, grow, and soar.

Our work may include:

• Family programs and student events
• Educational and enrichment opportunities
• Support for approved classroom resources
• Assistance with field trips when funding is available
• Campus improvement and beautification projects
• Student supplies, uniforms, and other identified needs

Support Our Teachers and Staff

We recognize the important work of Hotchkiss teachers and staff and look for practical ways to support them throughout the year.

Support may include:

• Teacher and staff appreciation
• Classroom supplies and approved teacher wish lists
• Meals or refreshments during required extended workdays
• Volunteer assistance with classroom and campus projects
• Grants or other classroom support when funding is available

Build Community

We create welcoming opportunities for families, teachers, staff, and neighbors to meet, participate, and build stronger relationships.

Activities may include:

• Family movie nights
• National Night Out
• Cultural and community celebrations
• Spirit nights
• Garden volunteer days
• Family engagement and school-choice events
• PTA membership meetings

Advocate for Every Child

As part of Texas PTA and National PTA, we help represent and support the needs of children at the local, state, and national levels.

Advocacy can include:

• Helping families stay informed
• Sharing opportunities for families to provide feedback
• Supporting safe, welcoming, and inclusive schools
• Raising awareness of issues affecting students and families
• Encouraging families to participate in school and community decisions

Raise and Manage Funds Responsibly

PTA fundraising helps pay for programs and priorities approved by our membership. We develop our budget carefully, use available funds responsibly, and work to ensure that spending benefits the Hotchkiss community.

Our fundraising activities may include:

• Annual Hawks Auction
• Spirit nights
• Family events
• Community donations
• Business sponsorships
• Grants
• Direct giving opportunities

PTA support is intended to supplement—not replace—the school’s operating budget. Programs and funding decisions depend on available resources and approval through the PTA’s established process.
