Hotchkiss volunteers help bring programs, events, and special projects to life. Whether you can help once, participate from home, share a professional skill, or volunteer regularly, there is a place for you.
You do not have to be a PTA member to express interest in volunteering. Some activities, however, may have Dallas ISD approval or campus-access requirements.

Volunteer Requirements
Dallas ISD requires campus volunteers to complete the district’s volunteer application and background-check process through VOLY.
Approval must be renewed each school year. Volunteers must also follow all campus check-in, identification, confidentiality, and safety requirements.
Please do not report to campus for a volunteer assignment until your participation has been confirmed.

Every Contribution Matters
You do not need a large amount of free time to make an impact. One hour, one event, one donated item, or one community introduction can make a meaningful difference.
Ways to Volunteer
School and Family Events: Help with setup, check-in, activities, food service, cleanup, or other needs during PTA and school events.

Teacher and Staff Support: Help the PTA recognize and support Hotchkiss teachers and staff.

- Preparing materials or assisting with special projects
Community Garden: Join other families and community members as we build, maintain, and expand the Hotchkiss Community Garden.

Classroom and Campus Projects: Teachers and staff may occasionally need help with:

Help From Home: Not every volunteer role requires coming to campus.
