Site-Based Decision-Making Committee
The Hotchkiss Site-Based Decision-Making (SBDM) Committee brings families, educators, staff, and community members together to support campus planning and continuous improvement. Working in an advisory role, the committee provides the principal with input on decisions that affect student success and the overall school experience at L.L. Hotchkiss Pre-K - 8.
The committee may provide feedback and recommendations in areas such as:
-
Campus goals and improvement priorities
-
Curriculum, instruction, and student assessment
-
Campus budgeting and resource allocation
-
Staffing needs and patterns
-
School organization and operations
-
Family and community engagement
When a specific campus need, program, or initiative requires additional attention, the committee may also establish a subcommittee to research the topic and recommend next steps.

Questions or Interest in Serving
Families and community members who would like to learn more about the Hotchkiss SBDM Committee, attend a meeting, or explore opportunities to participate may contact the L.L. Hotchkiss main office.
Questions about an individual student’s instruction or classroom experience should first be directed to the student’s teacher. Additional concerns may then be shared with the appropriate campus administrator.
